Designed by Reva’s in-house team and designer, which includes designers from world famous auto design firms, Pininfarina and Bertone, the new Mahindra Halo will receive an electric motor offering 105 kW or 140 bhp power. This battery pack seen on board the Halo, will be similar to that seen on a Tesla, which company claims is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in below 7 seconds and reach a top speed of around 200 kmph.
To be on display at 2014 Auto Expo, the new Mahindra Halo is slated for launch in India and abroad while the company is currently undertaking market research to gauge the acceptance of this all electric sports car in European markets.
Built for a niche market, Halo from Mahindra might be priced at between INR 30-35 lakhs when it goes on sale in 2015-16. Besides the new Halo, Mahindra will also have an interesting lineup of cars at the Auto Expo which will include a Formula E car, the Verito EV and an improved version of the e2o.
