Inaugurated in December 2005, the Mahindra and Mahindra production plant in Haridwar, Uttarakhand has achieved a milestone of 7 lakh vehicles. Prior to this, it was in November 2014 that the company has seen production of 6 lakh vehicles, taking just 10 months to go from there to the 7 lakh vehicle mark.
It is from the Mahindra’s Haridwar Plant that the company produces Bolero, Scorpio and Gio models besides the Alfa and Champion range of products. It is this plant that has gained the name of being one of the highest production capacities as compared to other Mahindra automotive plants and is the company’s single automotive production plant in North India.
Besides Mahindra’s Haridwar Plant, M&M has its production set ups at in Chakan, Nasik, Zaheerabad, Kandivali and Igatpuri. Each of these plants has all the facilities for manufacture which include Press Shop, Body Shop, CED Line, Paint Shop and Assembly. From each of these plants the automaker produces a range of automobiles in each segment to include commercial vehicles in the three wheeler, light commercial and heavy commercial segments, utility vehicle, sports utility vehicles, sedans and electric vehicles.
