An innovative new design, competitive pricing and a host of new features and accessories, new Mahindra KUV100 has been launched at a base price of INR 4.42 lakhs. Targeting the youth and first time car buyers in the country, Mahindra KUV100 is built for adventure and to stand out in the crowd.

The smallest and cheapest of the company’s SUVs to date, Mahindra KUV100 stands apart due to its structure and design. It also marks an important chapter for the company as it enters the territory dominated by the likes Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai.

Mahindra and Mahindra, with their large sized SUVs such as the Scorpio, Bolero and XUV500 taking center stage to date, the compact KUV100 is the first five seater petrol SUV project of the company. The Mahindra KUV100 also creates a new price point in the SUV segment with a base price that will woo even prospective buyers of premium hatchback segment that include the likes of the Hyundai Grand i10 and Maruti Swift.

The company has ensured all the conveniences of ride comfort, maneuverability, fuel efficiency and sheer driving pleasure are offered on the Mahindra KUV100, thus causing an instant attraction to its target group of younger and more adventurous buyers.

Petrol engine of Mahindra KUV100 is in the form of 1.2 liter mFalcon G80 3-cyl engine generating 82 hp power and and 114 Nm torque. The diesel engine is 1.2 liter mFalcon D75 3-cyl generating 77 hp power and 190 Nm torque. Both mated by 5 speed MT, mileage claimed by petrol KUV100 is 18.15 kmpl and claimed by diesel is class leading 25.32 kmpl.

The company expects to see extensive sales of the KUV100 as it fall in a price bracket that sees sales of 1,00,000 units per month. Mahindra’s is targeting an 8-10% market share with this new launch which also marks the company debut into the petrol segment.
