Sporting seating options of 2+3 and 3+3, the Mahindra KUV100 has been launched in India at a base price of INR 4.42 lakhs while the top end variant is priced at INR 6.76 lakhs. Being produced from the company plant in Chakan, near Pune, sales of the Mahindra KUV100 commence from today.
Built at an investment of over INR 1,200 crore, Mahindra KUV100 is being powered by an all new engine family called mFalcon, which has been developed completely in-house.
Mahindra KUV100 petrol engine is a 1.2 liter mFalcon G80 engine developing 82 bhp power at 5,500 rpm and 115 Nm torque at 3,500 to 3,600 rpm. A 1.2 liter mFalcon D75 diesel unit is also on offer promising 77 bhp power at 3,750 rpm and 190 Nm torque at 1,750-2,250 rpm.
Both engines are mated to 5 speed manual transmission while an AMT variant will be added on later. The petrol engine claims fuel efficiency of 18.15 kmpl while its diesel counterpart is slated to offer 25.23 kmpl.
Positioned below new TUV300, Mahindra KUV100 exteriors include spider design alloy wheels, dual tone bumpers, door and wheel arch cladding and sunglass headlamps. Exteriors also boast of a sculpted bonnet, high shoulder line, short overhangs and LED daytime running lights.
Interiors sport dual tone black and beige dashboard with faux wooden inserts, a multifunction steering wheel and sporty instrument console. Vertical stacked AC controls and gear level offer better seating arrangement for passengers at the front. Infotainment on board the Mahindra KUV100 include Bluetooth, Handsfree, USB, AUX, Mahindra Blue Sense App and start/stop system.Offered as standard across all variants of the Mahidnra KUV100 are ABS, EBD, dual airbags, automatic hazard lights on panic braking and ISOFIX child seat mounts.
