Mahindra KUV100 is the smallest and the Koolest Mahindra SUV which will be launched in a few minutes from now. Built on a new generation platform, KUV100 is powered by a new engines of smaller capacities – deviating from the larger capacity engines the company is well noted for.
This new range of engines is called the mFalcon range. KUV100 will be sporting a 1.2 liter three cylinder petrol and a 1.2 liter 3 cyl diesel engine. The first Mahindra SUV to sport a petrol engine, the 1.2 liter mFalcon G80 petrol unit offers 82 bhp power and 114 Nm torque while the 1.2 liter mFalcon D75 diesel unit is capable of 77 bhp power and 190 Nm peak torque, mated to 5-speed manual gearbox. These engines comply with BSIV norms and are sure to offer good fuel efficiency.
Though Mahindra KUV100 has no direct competitor as of now, Mahindra and Mahindra is expected to keep prices competitive so as to attract buyers of hatchbacks (Maruti Swift, Hyundai Grand i10, etc). Being the first 6-seater mini SUV, it can also attract a few buyers of Ford EcoSport.
Offered with a host of features, Mahindra KUV100 is being presented in four variants – K2, K4, K6, K8. ABS is offered as standard while infotainment includes USB, AUX, Bluetooth connectivity and HVAC along with eco/power driving modes and Mahindra Micro Hybrid technology. Airbags are offered as option on all variants, while the top-end variants gets airbags as standard.

Sitting on 14” alloys fitted with 185/65 R14 tyres, the KUV100 gets an aggressive front end and sharp character lines while at the rear wrap around tail lamps and a curvy rear hatch is evident. Mahindra KUV100 sports 7 exterior colors of Fiery Orange, Flamboyant Red, Dazzling Silver, Aquamarine, Pearl White, Designer Grey and Midnight Black.
Prices of the petrol variants are expected to range from INR 4 lakh to INR 5.5 lakh while the diesel range is expected to range from INR 5 lakh to INR 7. lakh.
