Mahindra Marazzo modified by owner – India’s first modded Marazzo MPV

MPVs are certainly not the automatic choice of wheels for driving enthusiasts because they usually look mundane and are quite a handful around the bends. However, comfort and space for the entire family takes precedence over driving pleasure when it comes to car buying decisions. Some try to make the best out of this situation by pimping up their family hauler to give it some sporty appeal. This modified Mahindra Marazzo is one such example.

With its exterior design inspired by shark, the Mahindra Marazzo, in its stock condition, does look sporty for a MPV but the owner of this particular unit decided to spice things up a bit more by giving it an after market treatment.

The white Marazzo’s front end has been enhanced with body-colored chin (stock model has black chin irrespective of the color option) and new foglight enclosures, complete with prominent LED DRLs. The black grille indicates, this is either the entry-level M2 or mid-level M4 variant.

The MPV looks sportier when viewed front the sides as well, thanks to the body-colored skirts and multi-spoke alloy wheels. The rear fascia has been bestowed with roof-mounted spoiler, blacked out chrome strip on the base of the windshield and new bumper with embedded LED lights and pseudo diffuser. Details about modifications to the interior or the total cost of the personalization are not available. It has to be said that these modifications have enhanced the MPV’s road presence.

The Marazzo, which was predominantly developed by Mahindra North American Technical Center competes with the immensely popular Toytoa Innova Crysta. With an amiable design, good interior, spacious cabin, and upmarket features list, the Mahindra people carrier checks all the important boxes.

The Mahindra Marazzo is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged diesel engine which is tuned to dish out 121 PS and 300 Nm of torque. The motor drives the front wheel via a 6-speed manual transmission.

The Mahindra Marazzo can be had as a 7 or 8 seater. The MPV is priced between INR 9.99 lakhs to 14.38 lakhs (ex-showroom, pan-India). In comparison, the Toyota Innova Crysta is priced between INR 14.83 lakhs to 22.19 lakhs (ex-showroom, New Delhi). Below are more photos of India’s first modified Marazzo.
