Mahindra Marazzo, the shark inspired 7 seater MPV is priced at Rs 9.99 lakhs for the base trim, going up to INR 13.9 lakhs for the top of the line M8. This attractive pricing makes the Marazzo compete with the Maruti Ertiga and Toyota Innova.
It gets a well proportioned body with a vertical slat front grille designed to appear as shark teeth. It gets chrome accents on its front fascia, stylish airdams, swept back headlamps and LED DRLs on fog lamps. The Marazzo sits on 17” alloy wheels and gets disc brakes at all four corners.

It also boasts of shark fin styled tail lamps while dimensionally the Marazzo is smaller than the Innova Crysta measuring 4,585mm in length, 1,866mm in width and 1,774mm in height. It does get a longer wheelbase resulting in added interior space. But, it is larger in size than the Maruti Ertiga, which is the best selling car in the segment after Innova.
Co-designed by Mahindra Design Studio and Pininfarina, Marazzo is a collab of Mahindra North American Technical Centre and the Mahindra Research Valley, Chennai. Equipment wise, the Mahindra Marazzo M8 trim gets a single zone climate control, separate rear air conditioning unit, a multimedia system with touchscreen, voice command and Android Auto. Features also include a reversing camera, height adjustable driver seat, electric ORVMs with fold function and a cooled glove box.
Mahindra Marazzo is powered by a 1.5 liter, 4 cylinder, diesel engine offering 120 bhp power at 3,500 rpm and 300 Nm torque at 1,750 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6 speed manual gearbox. It being the first body on ladder vehicle, the engine is transversely mounted and drives the front wheels. Mahindra plans to launch petrol engine of Marazzo at a later date along with AMT. As of now only diesel 1.5 liter with manual gearbox is offered.
