Competition points to Kawasaki Ninja 300R, Suzuki Inazuma 250, KTM Duke 390 and Bajaj Pulsar 375, all of which promise to be high performance and highly affordable. MOJO 300 was showcased at Delhi Auto Show 2012, and was seen in a sporty design with performance features.
Power comes from 292 cc single cylinder four stroke engine with fuel injection. Fitted with a 4 valve DOHC head and mated with a 6-speed manual gearbox, power output could be around 28 PS. For Mahindra two wheelers, this will be a top of the range bike.
KTM recently launched the 390 Duke street bike at a competitive price, and Mahindra is known to surprise the market with lean pricing on many occasions. The 300cc powerhouse will depend on twin exhausts, a rather novel feature here. Inverted front forks and monoshock rear suspension will be seen. While the Mahindra Mojo 300cc has been up for speculation for far too long, all that is soon going to change with them being confident of a launch that’s fast approaching.
