Mahindra Mojo BSIII sold at a discount of flat INR 30,000

Launched exactly a year ago, Mahindra Mojo is considered as one of the rival to the newly launched Royal Enfield Himalayan. Though both motorcycles have entirely different body styles and appeal, they have one thing in common – the ability to feed their riders’ wander-lust.

The Mojo is a sports tourer which is built to munch miles effortlessly while the Himalayan’s primary objective is to traverse challenging terrains without breaking sweat. And if you have been waiting to buy the Mojo, today is your lucky day.

The Mahindra Mojo retails for about INR 1.8 lakh.

Thanks to Supreme Court of India, which has upheld the ban on sales of two wheelers with BSIII compliant engines, you can buy a Mahindra Mojo at a flat discount of INR 30,000. But, the offer is valid only for today. As from tomorrow, it will be illegal to sell BSIII vehicles. So hurry, as the stocks are limited.

Apart from the four metros (Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata), Mojo is also on sale in Ahmadabad, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Goa, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Madurai, Nagpur, Vijayawada and Visakapatnam. More Tier-II cities would joint the list in near future. Addition of new cities to the list indicates that Mahindra has ramped up the production of its sports tourer at the Pithampur plant in MP.

The bike is equipped with several upmarket components.

To recap, the Mahindra Mojo is powered by a 295 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine which is tuned to dish out 26.8 bhp (20 KW) at 8,000 rpm and 30 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. Transmission is a 6-speed unit. The motorcycle is equipped with USD front fork, monoshock rear suspension and Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tyres.

A cheaper variant of the Mojo will soon be launched, without the USD, Pirelli tyres, dual exhaust, etc. This will be launched as a BSIV variant.
