National Road Safety Week 2015 theme is ‘Safety is not just a slogan, it’s a way of life’. Mahindra’s participation is intended to create road safety awareness. As road rage, accidents and unsafe driving practices accelerates, educating people on road safety has become essential.
Road Safety can be improved when all facets are involved. It includes the vehicle, road infrastructure, traffic engineering, driver training and road etiquette, enforcement, education and awareness, and road laws.
For National Road Safety Week, Mahindra has undertaken road safety awareness for dealer staff, drivers education program at dealer workshops, awareness among school children through a video presentation on ‘Safety Technology in Automobiles’, and a drawing competition for school children and customer kids.
Sanjoy Gupta, Vice President – Customer Care, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra says the auto manufacturer is a responsible corporate citizen committed to making roads safer in India. Many accidents are caused due to driver negligence and improper road etiquette, and Mahindra chooses to educate people about road safety. Participation was encouraged from over 400 dealer workshops in India.
