Mahindra Quanto facelift (reportedly named Mahindra Canto) is set to make global debut at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo. Featuring an all-new front fascia, the sub 4 meter vehicle gets a new side design and new rear end as well.
Spy shots reveal that the Quanto facelift features new headlight clusters and integrated LED daytime running lights, as rendered perfectly in the image above. 2016 Mahindra Quanto facelift receives a traditional grille design with chrome accents, new bumpers and body cladding and a tail mounted spare wheel, all of which gives the new Quanto facelift a more prominent SUV stance.
Interiors of Mahindra Quanto facelift sees a new and upgraded infotainment system with BlueSense application. It also gets a new dashboard design while seats are seen in beige with better cushioning and improved lumbar support.
Engine specifications on board Mahindra Quanto facelift include a mHawk80, three cylinder diesel engine offering 84 bhp power and 230 Nm torque. This is the same engine doing duty on the TUV300 where fuel efficiency stands at 18.49kmpl. An AMT gearbox option, available on the TUV300 will also make its way to the new Mahindra Quanto facelift.
Before Mahindra Quanto facelift launch in 2016, Mahindra is gearing up for launch of their new S101 (Mahindra XUV100) compact SUV. Mahindra S101 will rival the likes of Maruti Suzuki WagonR and Chevrolet Beat where price range is concerned. Expected to come in at a starting price of INR 4 lakhs, launch will take place in 3rd week of January 2016. It will be offered both with petrol (first Mahindra UV with petrol engine) and diesel engine options, with manual and automated manual transmission options.
