Mahindra Quanto facelift interiors spied, could be called Canto
Latest import data log from Zauba.com reveals that Mahindra has imported some parts for a model named Canto from South Korea. The interesting part is, just next to Canto, it is mentioned as U215, which is the codename for Mahindra Quanto facelift. (Very unlikely, but it is also possible that this is a typo – Quanto – Canto)
Apart from this, Team-BHP has managed to click some new images of the Quanto facelift (or Canto), which reveal interesting new details of the upcoming sub 4 metre SUV from Mahindra.
Spied on test under camouflage, several features were evident right from its new bumper design to wide air dam and honeycomb mesh grille. Fog lamps are also in a new design and round shape while one can also expect to see alloy wheels in a new design.
Mahindra Quanto facelift interiors will be seen in a beige and grey color scheme with new multifunction steering wheel, instrument cluster and AC vents. It will be offered in a seven seater configuration with two facing seats in the luggage area.
Where engine specifications are concerned, 2016 Mahindra Quanto facelift will receive a 1.5 liter, three cylinder mCR100 twin stage turbocharged diesel engine offering 100 bhp peak power and 240 Nm peak torque mated to a 5 speed manual transmission while the company could also bring in an AMT as well. Besides the XUV500 facelift and new Quanto (Canto), M&M is also set to present two more offerings in the sub 4 meter category which are codenamed U301 and S101 as on date. All three sub 4 metre SUVs are expected to be launched later this year.
