Mahindra closed December 2025 with total domestic passenger vehicle sales of 50,946 units, registering a 22.99% year-on-year growth over 41,424 units sold in December 2024. The performance highlights Mahindra’s continued strength in the SUV space, driven largely by strong demand for its core ICE portfolio alongside a gradual ramp-up of its new electric offerings.

Leading the charge was Scorpio and Scorpio N, which together posted 15,885 units, up 30.26% YoY, reinforcing their position as Mahindra’s highest-selling models. Bolero delivered one of the strongest growth stories of the month, clocking 10,611 units, nearly doubling its volumes with a 79.21% YoY increase, underlining its sustained appeal in rural and semi-urban markets. XUV 3XO followed with 9,422 units, growing 34.60% YoY, while Thar and Thar ROXX together contributed 9,339 units, marking a 21.93% YoY rise, supported by steady lifestyle SUV demand.

Mahindra’s electric SUV portfolio continued to scale up in December. XEV 9e recorded 2,154 units, while BE 6 added 1,481 units, reflecting growing traction for the brand’s new-generation EVs. Additionally, XEV 9s contributed 491 units in its early sales phase. Meanwhile, XUV700 / XUV 7XO volumes dropped sharply to 1,424 units, compared to 7,337 units last year, likely reflecting portfolio realignment as the new version has just been launched with deliveries set to start from this week. XUV400 EV also saw a decline, retailing just 59 units during the month. This is likely because of the launch of the updated version, XUV 3XO EV.

On a month-on-month basis, Mahindra’s total sales declined 9.57% from 56,336 units in November 2025. While Scorpio, Bolero and the new EVs like XEV 9e and BE 6 showed positive MoM growth, models such as XUV 3XO, Thar / ROXX and XUV700 / 7XO witnessed sequential drops, contributing to the overall moderation.

With new EV products gaining traction and core models continuing to perform consistently, Mahindra appears well-positioned heading into 2026.
