Mahindra Sales Breakup Feb 2023 – Bolero, Scorpio, Thar, XUV700

Mahindra sold over 30,000 SUVs in February 2023 with the Bolero and Scorpio contributing more than 50% to total sales

Mahindra sales in Feb 2023 improved by 9.8 percent on a YoY basis to 30,221 units, up from 27,536 units sold in Feb 2022. MoM sales however, dipped by 8.5 percent from 33,040 units sold in Jan 2023. Market share fell 0.1 percent from 9.1 percent held in Feb 2022 to 9.0 percent in the past month.

Mahindra Sales Breakup Feb 2023 – Bolero Top Seller

Mahindra Bolero has long been a hot favorite in the company lineup. Topping sales charts in Feb 2023, sales dipped 11 percent YoY to 9,782 units, down from 11,045 units sold in Feb 2022. It was however, a MoM increase in sales by 14 percent when compared to 8,574 units sold in Jan 2023.

Sales increased substantially on a YoY basis for the Mahindra Scorpio range. Sales which had stood at 2,610 units in Feb 2022 improved by 166 percent to 6,950 units in Feb 2023. MoM sales suffered a de-growth of 20 percent against 8,715 units sold in Jan 2023.

Mahindra Thar sales suffered a YoY de-growth of 1 percent to 5,004 units from 5,072 units sold in Feb 2022 but increased 13 percent MoM from 4,410 units sold in Jan 2023. The Thar RWD has received positive response thanks to affordable price tag.

XUV700 Grows YoY, Declines MoM

XUV700 sales improved 9 percent on a YoY basis to 4,505 units from 4,138 units sold in Feb 2022 while MoM sales dipped 22 percent as against 5,787 units sold in Jan 2023. The XUV700 will soon receive a new variant in the form of MX (E) Diesel 5 seater. It will be positioned between XUV700 MX and AX3 variants and is set to come in a price range from Rs 14.50 lakh to Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom).

Sales of the XUV300 compact SUV dipped YoY and MoM by 16 percent and 29 percent respectively to 3,809 units in Feb 2023. Marazzo sales grew to 171 units from 147 units sold in Feb 2022 while MoM sales were higher by 4 percent from 164 units sold in Jan 2023. Sales of the e-Verito and KUV100 were down to 0 units.

Mahindra Electric Car Sales Boost

It was in Jan 2023 that the company marked its foray into the electric SUV segment with the launch of XUV400. Offered in two variants – EC and EL, the XUV400 is priced from Rs 16 – 19 lakhs (introductory prices) and is an arch rival to the Tata Nexon EV. Bookings have crossed the 15,000 unit mark. Deliveries will start from this month, which could help Mahindra register higher sales in coming months.
