Scorpio facelift receiving major revamp as expected for many years, will feature cosmetic changes on exterior and interiors as well. New headlamp assembly, front grille and fresh bumper designed taking a sneak peak at XUV500’s. Side body panels and rear fascia are not expected to undergo significant redrawing.
Cabin of new Scorpio will indeed lay hold of XUV500’s parts like multifunctional steering wheel and central console multimedia screen.The Scorpio facelift will also welcome trendy features like In-Car Entertainment (ICE) system with Bluetooth, USB and AUX-In mode of music input and air-conditioning with automatic climate control.
Driving the Mahindra Scorpio facelift will be the same 2.2 litre four cylinder mHawk diesel mill generating 120 bhp of max. power and peak torque of 290 Nm, and the 2.5 litre m2DiCR engine churning out 75 bhp of topmost power. Gearbox with either engine will sport 5 speed transmission as usual. However, an additional 6 speed automatic transmission is expected to include in the facelift version.
Price of new Mahindra Scorpio facelift is unknown, but expected to be a tad more than current ex-showroom Pune catalogue price of Rs. 7.55 (starting) to Rs. 11.92 (top spec).
