Automotive customization house S P Design in Nala Sopara, Mumbai has hinted at a Mahindra Scorpio Getaway 6×6 based on a computer generated rendering. As per a current SP Design custom vehicle, the Scorpio Getaway 6×6 could be seen with a host extra axle at the rear and chrome rails on the deck besides wide body kit and off road tyres.
Though they have not confirmed if this is their next project, but considering their past assignments, this could very well be the first made-in-India 6×6 custom job for the Mahindra Scorpio.
The Mahindra Scorpio Getaway Pick-up in 2WD and 4WD format could soon make its presence felt in India. The new generation model was spied on test across the Mumbai Pune Expressway in October and was seen strikingly similar to the Scorpio SUV.
It sported projector headlamps, honeycomb grille and chrome accents besides fog lamps, rectangular central air dam and alloy wheels. Interiors get a redesigned dashboard, new instrument cluster and steering wheel design along with HVAC vents, gearshift lever and a new infotainment system.
The Getaway is powered by a 2.6 liter turbocharged CRDe diesel engine offering 115 hp peak power at 3,800 rpm and 28.3 Kgm torque at 1,700 to 2,200 rpm mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox.
