First unit of the new Mahindra Scorpio N Z6 has just been delivered to the owner. Mahindra has maintained price protection, as the sale was made at the booking price of Rs 14.99 lakh for Z6 MT Diesel. Price of this variant currently is Rs 15.64 lakh, ex-sh. That’s a difference of Rs 65k on ex-sh from launch price and today’s price. For Rs 14.99 lakh ex-sh price, the on-road price of this variant comes to Rs 18.63 lakh.

Mahindra Scorpio Z6 variant does not come with alloys. But in this particular case, the owner has got the steel wheels upgraded with alloys from a higher variant from the dealer. Scorpio N Z6 lacks certain elements like fog lamps, DRLs, projector headlights, auto headlights, rain sensing wipers, etc. Take a look at the delivery video below, credit to Tech Aryan channel.

Mahindra Scorpio/N was the 2nd best-selling model in the company lineup in Feb 2023 after the Bolero. Sales stood at 6,950 units in the past month, a 166.28 percent growth over 2,610 units sold in Feb 2023. It draws power via a 2.0 liter turbo petrol unit that offers 198bhp and 380Nm torque. It also gets a 2.2 liter diesel engine producing 173bhp and 400Nm torque. Both engines come with either a six speed manual or six speed automatic transmission. The engine are now updated to BS6 Phase 2 standards but sees no change in power and torque figures.

Mahindra Scorpio N Waiting Period

The extended waiting period that stretches up to 65 weeks for the Z4 variant is the longest while the Z8 L automatic sees the lowest waiting period of 24-26 weeks. Mahindra Scorpio N Z6 and Z8 variants command around 55 to 60 weeks for delivery while buyers of the top spec Z8 L trim have to face a waiting period of 56-58 weeks. The base Z2 trim has a waiting period of 52-54 weeks.

Mahindra Scorpio N success can be gauged from the fact that it received over 1 lakh bookings within 30 minutes. New orders continue to pour in even today, thereby causing supply constraints. The extended waiting period is due to the several issues that the company faces in terms of commodity supplies. This has also affected the waiting period of other models in the company lineup.

Thar RWD commands the highest waiting period of up to 1.5 years (75 weeks) and the XUV700 also sees an extended waiting period. As on date, Mahindra sits on a backlog of over 2.33 lakh units with the Scorpio/N seeing the highest pending orders of 1.19 lakh units.
