Mahindra Scorpio new variants launched; S4+, S6+ with Airbags, ABS, EBD

New gen Mahindra Scorpio was launched in September 2014. Variant spread starts from entry level S2 to top of the line S10. Since S2 has bare minimum features, S4 is the most preferred model at the bottom of variant list.

There are 9 variants of Mahindra Scorpio now.
Scorpio S4 gets basic features like unpainted front & rear bumpers, side cladding, rear view mirrors, door handles; steel rims, power windows, tilt steering, manual central lock, and 12V power sockets for front and rear occupants. On safety front, Scorpio S4 is equipped with collapsible steering column & side intrusion beams, and digital immobiliser.

New Mahindra Scorpio S4+ gets only bottle holder & cup holder in addition to those luxury features mentioned above. Focussing on safety, Scorpio S4+ is loaded with dual front Airbags (driver & shotgun), ABS (Antilock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), Panic Brake indication, Seat Belt Reminder Lamp and auto door lock while driving.

Similarly, same set of safety features and additional Anti-Theft Warning is added to Scorpio S6 trim and launched as S6+ now.

Mahindra had launched S4 4WD in September and then discontinued the variant. Now, the company has re-introduced 4WD with Shift-on-fly system in S4+ trim. So there are three variants in that level now – S4, S4+ and S4+ 4WD.
