Gulf Oil Lubricants India Ltd (GOLIL) and Mahindra & Mahindra’s partnership for the tractor segment in India sees Gulf oil manufacture and supply ‘Mahindra Genuine Oil’ branded as ‘Mahindra M-Star Super’ for its dealer workshop network, and a Mahindra-Gulf Co-branded lubricant line for ‘Bazaar segment’ branded ‘Gulf XHD M Tractor’ based on Mahindra’s MKM (Mileage ka Master) platform for extended drain interval of 350 hrs.
Ravi Chawla, Managing Director, Gulf Oil Lubricants India said the tractor segment partnership is an extension of the company’s relationship in passenger segment and a step closer to being among top 3 lubricant brands in the industry. Use of group3 base oils, and alliances with leading players makes Gulf among the fastest growing lubricant names backed by a distribution network of over 50,000 retailers.
Gulf long-drain lubricants are its forte, and a major part of R&D and product development is based in India, with its main facility being in Silvassa. Gulf’s Lubricants Division is strengthening its reputation in commercial vehicle and motorcycle long drain oils.
