Mahindra has been planning to launch Verito CS in India this year and seeing at the images here, it seems that the car is very near to its official launch. The images here appeared on wheelOsphere as renderings, but it is difficult to believe that these are renderings as they look very much like the real deal.
Mahindra will be able to price this car lower than the Verito sedan thanks to lesser tax levied on vehicles under 4 meter in length. From the images here, you can see rear tail lights and distinctive badging on the boot lid along with a host of chrome accents. Apart from the exterior changes, interiors too are expected to be updated.
Mahindra Verito Compact Sedan will sport a 1.5 liter diesel K9K engine which is currently seen in the present Verito. Mahindra CS variant will not possess a petrol engine as they do not have a suitable engine under the 1.2 liter category. Once successfully launched, the Mahindra Verito Compact will compete with Maruti Suzuki Swift, Toyota Etios Liva and other hatchbacks with diesel engines in the country.
