Mahindra has announced a strong start for its latest SUV launches, with the newly introduced Mahindra XEV 9S and Mahindra XUV 7XO together recording 93,689 bookings on the opening day. The milestone was achieved by 2:00 pm on January 14, 2026, translating into a cumulative booking value of over Rs 20,500 crore, calculated at ex-showroom prices.
Massive Opening Day Response
The strong booking response underlines Mahindra’s continued momentum in the SUV space, where the brand has built a reputation for offering segment-defining products across multiple powertrain options. With the XEV 9S and XUV 7XO, Mahindra is further expanding its portfolio to cater to diverse customer needs, spanning electric, petrol and diesel SUVs under the authentic SUV positioning.
According to the company, the XEV 9S strengthens Mahindra’s electric SUV lineup, while the XUV 7XO builds on the brand’s established presence in the ICE SUV segment. Together, the two models are expected to play a key role in sustaining Mahindra’s leadership in India’s fast-growing SUV market.
Deliveries to Commence in Phases
Mahindra has also shared delivery timelines for the two models. Deliveries of the XEV 9S are scheduled to begin in a phased manner starting the week of January 26, 2026, while deliveries of the XUV 7XO have commenced immediately across dealerships nationwide.
