Mahindra XUV300 public debut – First look video of interiors, exteriors

With the Mahindra XUV300 launch less than 3 weeks away, the company has begun showcasing its compact SUV at malls. This weekend the vehicle’s already made its debut at Sujana Mall in Hyderabad, and Seasons Mall in Pune.

Mahindra XUV300 orderbooks were opened earlier in January. Being introduced as a sub 4-metre compact SUV, the car sits on the longest wheelbase in its segment. This is because the vehicle is based on Ssangyong Tivoli, and while the wheelbase is retained, vehicle dimensions have been reduced to fit in the sub 4-metre category.

Mahindra officials who were present at the venue, did not reveal engine details. But they did confirm that petrol 1.2L engine will deliver 200 Nm, and diesel 1.5L will deliver 300 Nm engine. Power output is not known at present but is likely to be 125 hp. Both engines will be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. No automatic or AMT is on offer as of now.

On the safety front, 7 Airbags are on offer with top variant. Front Parking Sensors, ABS with EBD are also offered. Dual-Zone Fully Automatic Climate Control has been mentioned. Mahindra XUV300 will be available in 3 variants – W4, W6 and W8, and W8 (O) as an option. Standard features include ABS, Disc Brakes on all four wheels, 6 Speed Transmission, LED tail lamps, and all 4 Power windows.

Mahindra officials confirmed that launch price of XUV300 compact SUV will range from Rs 8 lakhs to Rs 12 lakhs ex-sh. The XUV300 on display, features silver alloy wheels, front chrome grille, projector headlamps with LED DRLs, fog lamps and ORVMs with integrated turn signals.

The dual-tone front bumper ends in a silver scuff plate. The air dam has 4 horizontal chrome bands. There’s also an electric sunroof. There’s a convenient storage slot above the glove box. Rear seats can be folded down to increase the storage deck. Colour options on offer are red, white, silver, aquamarine, black, and orange. Being Mahindra, one can expect a multitude of chrome add-ons. Below is the detailed photo gallery of new Mahindra XUV300.
