Mahindra XUV500 and Quanto launched in Algeria

Two new products from the stables of Mahindra have been launched by Distribution and Maintenance Automobile Algeria (DMMA), local distributors of Mahindra vehicles in Algeria. These two models, first the Mahindra XUV500 and second Mahindra Quanto were on display at Salon International de l’Automobile d’Alger held from 3rd March 2014 to 6th March 2014.

XUV 500, a seven seater SUV with massive proportions is spacious and comfortable and ideally suited for Algerian road conditions. It is powered by a 2.2 liter turbo diesel engine offering 140 hp peak power and 330 Nm torque while being mated to a 6 speed manual transmission.

The Mahindra XUV500 AT is being offered in three variants to include W6, W8 and W8 AWD 4×4, each of which abound where safety features are concerned. These include ESP, ABS, 6 airbags and trip computer and air conditioning. Infotainment is in the form of Radio CD MP3 and USB while electrically operated mirrors are offered as standard. Pricing of XUV 500 varies from 26,990,00 dinar (INR 20.64 lakhs) for W6 variant, 28,990,00 dinar (INR 22.17 lakhs) for W8 variant and 29,990,00 dinar (INR 22.93 lakhs) for W8 AT variant.

Mahindra Quanto is a five seater model and is powered by a 2.2 liter turbo diesel engine offering 120 hp and 280 Nm torque while being mated to a 5 speed manual transmission. The Quanto is being offered with only the C8 variant and is priced at 19,990,00 Algerian Dinar (INR 15.28 lakh). The Quanto is seen equipped with ABS and dual airbags while it receives power steering, air conditioning, electric mirrors and steering mounted controls and sits on new alloy wheels.
