Mahindra XUV500 facelift pre-launch contest gives you chance to win it for free

Its been over a year since the news about XUV500 facelift was confirmed. With the date finally revealed, Mahindra has launched a new competition which will give you a chance to win their flagship SUV for free.

All you have to do is visit http://www.mahindraxuv500.com/contest2015/ and participate. Once you participate, you will have to discover and tell Mahindra the new features on board new XUV500. (Hint for Rushlane readers, see image above!)

First prize is 2015 XUV500 facelift, first runner up receives a couple pass for Mahindra Adventure Monastery Escape. Apart from this, there are 5 iPads up for grabs for second runners up while 100 XUV500 merchandise are other prizes to be won.

Boasting of new interiors and a host of external updates, the 2015 Mahindra XUV500 facelift will continue to be powered by the same engine specifications as seen on its earlier counterpart. This will be in the form of 2.2 liter, 4 cylinder mHawk engine capable of 140 bhp peak power at 3,750 rpm and 330 Nm torque at 1,600-2,800 rpm.

This engine is mated to a 6 speed manual transmission and is offered in two options – 2WD and 4WD. Apart from the manual transmission, spyshots have confirmed that XUV500 facelift will also be available with an automatic transmission option.

Mahindra XUV500 facelift features a new chrome grille in the front, new LED daytime running lights (as seen on the new Mahindra Scorpio) and new headlight cluster. It will also receive chrome finished fog light enclosures and redesigned rear door while it will sit on new alloy wheels. On the inside, the layout remains same, but gets upgraded. You also have the new voice messaging system on board XUV500 now.

To be priced between Rs 11-16 lakhs, new XUV500 will continue to compete with Renault Duster, Tata Safari Strome, and Nissan Terrano in India.
