Mahindra XUV500 facelift previewed to dealers, launch in May?

Team RushLane has learnt that upcoming Mahindra SUVs including S101 and XUV500 facelift were showcased to dealers in Pune very recently, and it is highly probable that latest spy shots of XUV500 facelift published by Autocar India were taken at the meet.

Mahindra XUV500 facelift spied dealer preview 0 front
Mahindra XUV500 facelift snapped seemingly at a recent dealer meet.
From the spy shots, it is clear what exterior changes the company has done to its flagship SUV. Front fascia gets new chrome grille making the car look all the more aggressive, flanked by new twin barrel headlamps with ‘L’ shaped chrome walls for separation. Taking prominence at the expansive front bumper (which is also new) are the new right angled chrome trims complimenting the headlamps. The snout is rounded off by silver coloured scuff plate (probably made of GFRP like the rest of the bumper) at the chin section of the apron.

Side facade of the car bears nothing new to speak of other than the new 10-spoke alloy wheel design, making the Mahindra XUV500 facelift look more agile. Rear end view of the car also looks just the same as the outgoing model, except for the bigger chrome appliqué on top of number plate recess.

Expect similar photos of Mahindra S101 to come out soon.
