Mahindra XUV500 SUV booking with new price open from 25 January, draw to select buyers if number of bookings exceeds 7,200

Mahindra and Mahindra will once again open booking window for their latest SUV, XUV500 from the 25th of this month. M&M, the largest utility vehicle manufacturer in the country, launched XUV500 SUV on 28th September last year. Mahindra received an overwhelming response and due to which they had to close bookings for XUV500.

On 11th October, Mahindra stopped accepting fresh orders for XUV500 SUV as they had received over 8,000 orders already. Considering their capacity to manufacture XUV500 SUV from their Chakan facility stands at 2,000 to 2,500 units monthly, Mahindra had collected XUV500 orders for the next four months within a matter of 10 days.

This time too Mahindra expects that demand for XUV500 SUV to remain high because of which they will keep booking window for XUV500 open for just 10 days. Mr Vivek Nayer, Senior VP, Marketing, M&M said, “It is a delight for us at Mahindra to re-open the bookings for the much acclaimed XUV500 and also extend the launch to 19 cities. To ensure that our customers do not have to wait beyond a reasonable period, we are undertaking an XUV500 draw, which will ensure fair and transparent allotment of the vehicle to our customers who get selected in the draw.”

Apart from this, Mahindra will also be increasing the manufacturing capacity of XUV500 to 3,000 units monthly. There are many people in the country who are eagerly waiting for XUV500 bookings to reopen. Your favorite SUV will be a little costlier as the earlier price was an introductory price.

Mahindra XUV500 W6 4×2 which was launched with a price of Rs 10.80 lacs, will now be offered for Rs.11.1 lacs. Similarly, XUV500 W8 4×2 variant which was launched with an introductory price of Rs 11.95 lacs, will now be offered for Rs 12.45 lacs and finally the topend variant of XUV500 – W8 4×4 which was available for Rs 12.88 lacs, will now be available for Rs 13.43 lacs. XUV5OO will now extend to 19 cities (at “Selected Authorized Dealers”) in India namely – Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh/Mohali/Panchkula, Ludhiana, Jallandhar, Patiala, Kochi, Trivandrum, Calicut, Trissur, Coimbatore, Nagpur and Nasik.

Interested XUV500 buyers will need to fill in a booking form at any of the Selected Authorized Dealers from the above cities and submit with a Demand Draft of Rs 80,000. If the number of people applying for XUV500 exceeds 7,200, a draw will be conducted. The results of the draw will be uploaded on Mahindra XUV500 website by 15th February. Mahindra will start delivery of XUV500 in the same order as that of the draw result.
