Activity at Mahindra dealerships will put even the biggest carmakers to shame. M&M has secured a record 5000+ bookings in just 6 days of launch. There have been more than 35,000 test drive requests, and the past two weeks have seen 8.5 lakh unique visitors to the XUV500 website. The webcast and press conference last week attracted 1.5 lakh viewers ensuring that social media really did work fr the company. This apart, about 1.15 lakh entries were received for the XUV500 SUV ‘Guess the Price Contest,’ that was initiated just 10 days prior to launch.
Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., is accepting bookings for the XUV500 SUV in Pune, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Delhi since 1st October 2011. The M&M Facebook platform reflects more than 66,000 fans already. The XUV500 cheetah TV ad aired on 5th October in continuity with their teaser advert is now deferred because the company has already witnessed a huge positive consumer reaction.
Launched on 29th September, 2011, the M&M XUV500 SUV was designed in-house at the company’s R&D facility at the Mahindra Research Valley, Chennai. The vehicle has the distinction of being the first Indian monocoque SUV. Powered by a transverse engine from Mahindra, the vehicle exudes global standards of technology, quality, regulations, testing norms, and emissions. Keeping in tandem with the Mahindra RISE philosophy, the XUV500 SUV is bound to break a few more records in quick time.
