The upgrade is not accompanied by a price hike.

The entry level Mahindra XUV500 W4 variant has been given a silent upgrade in the form of a 6-inch monochrome infotainment display. The display unit which is derived from the W6 variant replaces a smaller display.

The upgraded infotainment system is equipped with USB, Bluetooth and iPod connectivity in addition to CD player. The higher W8 and W10 variants get 7-inch color touchscreen with added functions such as reverse parking camera and navigation.

The upgraded W4 variant continues to be sold at INR 11.50 lakhs (ex-showroom, Mumbai), thereby enhancing its value for money quotient by a bit. The Mahindra XUV500 received a significant upgrade last year which saw the introduction of a new W10 top-end variant with features such as multiple airbags, puddle lamps, daytime running lights, sun-roof and many more.
