Proving its tough and rugged performance, the XUV500 competed against other petrol driven vehicles and emerged victorious for the second time in a row, thus making the company proud at being judged fastest in both rounds of INRC in south and west regions. The XUV500 was driven by Gaurav Gill with Musa Sheriff as co-driver and winning these highly competitive events twice in a row proved that diesel cars can be as powerful as petrol engined vehicles.
Winning the title, ‘Star of Nasik’ in Rally of Maharashtra 2013 was even more noteworthy due to the fact that M&M have their main manufacturing base situated in Nasik. This highly popular premium SUV is being offered in six variants, all of which are priced between INR 12.09 lakhs to INR 14.68 lakhs. These variants are fitted with 2.2 liter mHawk diesel engines that offer peak power of 140 bhp and peak torque of 330 Nm. The company is now looking forward to launching the petrol engine model of the off roader in the not too distant future.
