Tata Motors has released the behind the scenes video of the Tata Kite’s Lionel Messi TVC. The segment involving Messi was shot in just four hours. The making of the advertisement involved experts from various nations and the video shows Messi getting a glimpse of the car’s interior from the driver’s seat.
The legendary footballer from Argentina is the new global brand ambassador for Tata Motors which will kick start its “Made Of Great” campaign with the launch of the Kite. In this video, Messi says how his views and principles match those of Tata Motors.
The new video also offers a new angle (day light opening) of the hatchback which was not revealed before. The small car which will slot below the Bolt to rival the likes Maruti Celerio, Chevrolet Beat and Hyundai Grand i10 adopts a modern design language.
Based on a heavily re-engineered version of the Indica eV2’s X0 platform, the Kite would be powered by new petrol and diesel engines. Both manual gearbox and AMT are expected to be in the offing.
To be unveiled in the first week of December, the Tata Kite hatchback would go on sale in early 2016. The small car will also spawn a compact sedan down the line.
