MapmyIndia launches first portable 3D navigator – ZX250 in India at Delhi Auto Expo
It was not only cars, bikes and SUVs at Delhi Auto Show 2012. A host of accessories and special gadgets were on display each trying to draw the attention of viewers and guests to project safer and more fun ways of driving. MapmyIndia was one such android based GPS system displayed at the auto show. The device can provide drivers with a 3D navigation like system displayed on the car’s dashboard which will provide navigation facilities television and internet browsing all in one.
This device was showcased by a Delhi based company. MapmyIndia was initially launched as a navigation tablet CarPad on Android 2.2 MapmyIndia 3D portable navigator is the first in the country and shows details of over 4000 cities with 20 cities in 3D. It is a complete GPS navigation system powered by Aura and is the company’s latest with 3D navigation software with additional entertainment features. MapmyIndia Maps v 7.0 also includes map details of India offering information of 4000 cities at street level, 36 cities at house level, 20 cities in 3 dimension with over 6.3 million special must see destinations in and around India.
MapmyIndia, the #1 seller of portable navigation devices in the Indian market, today launched Zx250, India’s first portable 3D navigator which offers an augmented reality-like experience with full 3D landmarks, 3D buildings and 3D elevation across hills and mountains, besides house-level search, built-in city and travel guides, detailed trip computer and of course apart from turn-by-turn voice instructions.
Zx250 has a stylish curved design with attractive metallic grey finish and a 12.7 cm touch screen. The device has a music player, movie player and digital photo frame with in-built memory of 2GB and expandable SD card memory slot of 8GB. It wirelessly streams both music and navigation instructions to the car audio system over a user chosen FM frequency. It connects with a phone over bluetooth, enabling hands-free calling. It also has an ambient light sensor, automatically adjusting screen brightness according to surroundings. There’s an AV-in slot to connect a reverse camera.

Zx250 will have the latest MapmyIndia Maps v7.0 including Premium Content which offers unprecedented map details covering house-level maps for 36 cities, 20 cities in full 3D, over 6.3 million places, 3D landmarks across India, street-level maps for 4000 cities and all 5,76,000 towns and villages connected seamlessly via 1.79 million km of highway and road network.
