Along with winning the 2015 BMW M Award, Marc Marques has also been awarded a bespoke M6 Convertible for winning maximum points during qualification in 2015 MotoGP races. Presented to Marquez over the past weekend, this exclusive model is a BMW Individual Frozen Blue Metallic with a host of BMW M Performance parts and 20” M light allow wheels.
BMW M Award is presented by MotoGP partner BMW M Division each year since 2003 while at the end of each season the winner is presented with an exclusive and individually designed BMW car.
This year’s award to Marc Marquez, a bespoke BMW M6 Convertible receives an interior design with BMW Individual Opal White full grain Merino leather seating and Piano Black trims.
It is powered by a 560 hp M TwinPower Turbo V8 engine which can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.3 seconds and hit a top speed of 250 kmph. Combined fuel consumption is at 10.3/100 km while CO2 emissions stand at 239 g/km. On board technology includes double clutch transmission with Drivelogic, M Carbon ceramic brakes, dynamic damper control and Active M Differentials.
The award was presented to Marquez for receiving the most points at qualifying sessions held during the controversial 2015 season. During the entire season, Marquez started from pole position eight times, and ended the season with a total of 365 points, thus giving him a clear lead over competition. This is also not the first time that Marquez has been the recipient of this prestigious award.
