It has higher mounted headlights, a chrome strip running across its front grille while sculpted bumpers add it its good looks. Alto, a best seller on Indian roads for over 8 years has been witnessing slowing sales probably due to the fact that demands for petrol cars are on the decline. Petrol, if 45% costlier than diesel and this has resulted in an exodus of customers towards diesel variants. Studies conducted during the period of April to July showed that demand for diesel vehicles increased by 54% while demand for petrol models was on the decline.
