Maruti Baleno NEXA TVC goes LIVE before launch

Maruti Baleno TVC

Maruti Baleno is the first premium hatchback in the company line-up.

Maruti Baleno is to be launched in India on 26th October 2015. It will be sold at the company’s new range of dealerships called NEXA. The Maruti NEXA dealerships offer a premium experience, which the company claims is on the lines of what is offered by luxury car showrooms across the country.

With first Maruti Nexa dealership launched in July this year, the company claims that it is the fastest growing dealership network in India, if not the world. Maruti aims to open at least 100 new NEXA outlets by the end of December 2015.

The second car to be offered via NEXA is Maruti’s upcoming Baleno hatchback. The company has revealed a new TVC showcasing the Baleno inside a NEXA dealership, which you can watch below.

Maruti Baleno will be offered in a choice of petrol and diesel engine options. Petrol Baleno will be seen with a 1.2 liter 84.3 PS / 115 Nm engine, while the diesel Baleno gets a 1.3 liter 75 PS / 190 Nm engine. Petrol option will be offered with a 5 MT or CVT gearbox, while diesel only comes with 5 MT geatbox.

Though Maruti Baleno is powered by the same set of engines seen on board Maruti Swift, the driving dynamics are completely different. This is because Maruti Baleno is built on a new platform, which has made the car lighter than the Swift hatchback.

Available in a total of four trims – Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha, it gets dual airbags and ABS as standard across all variants. Some of the exciting new features seen on board Baleno includes projector headlamps, LED DRLs, SmartPlay infotainment system with touchscreen, TFT screen for MID, auto ac, rear wiper, and defogger, keyless entry, leather upholstery, navigation, reverse parking camera, and much more.

Once launched, Baleno will compete with the likes of Honda Jazz, Hyundai Elite i20, and Volkswagen Polo. Expected price range is INR 5.5 – 8 lakh.
