The fully loaded variants of the Maruti Baleno and S-Cross are now fitted with grey alloy wheels instead of silver ones they previously came with. The minor update has no change in prices or any other specifications.
The switch to the new alloy wheel color appears to be a result of Maruti seeking to spruce up the aesthetics without any significant expenditure.
The Baleno has been witnessing strong demand since its launch while the S-Cross managed to find enough takers post the massive price slash earlier this year. The duo, along with the Vitara Brezza, is keeping the assembly lines extremely busy.
The Baleno hatchback is available with an 84 PS 1.2-litre K-Series petrol engine and a 75 PS 1.3-litre DDiS diesel engine. The former is mated either to a 5-speed manual gearbox or a CVT while the latter is available only with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
The S-Cross is available with the 1.3-litre DDiS diesel motor in 90 PS guise in addition to the new 1.6-litre DDiS unit which makes 120 PS. The base motor makes do with a 5-speed MT while the range-topping mill receives a 6-speed MT.
