Maruti will be opening Bookings for the 2020 Brezza against a refundable deposit of Rs 11,000 soon.
After unveiling the 2020 Maruti Brezza, the company is getting ready to launch the updated facelift in the coming days. Ahead of the launch, more details of the 2020 Brezza have surfaced, thanks to Motor Arena India. Leaked documents confirm that the bookings of Maruti Brezza petrol will start with a booking amount of INR 11,000 in the coming days.
Maruti will be launching the 2020 Brezza with a BS6 compliant petrol motor in 4 trims and 2 transmission options. Hence, customers will get to choose between a 5-speed manual and an automatic transmission. On the trim options, Maruti will be bringing in the Brezza with 4 trims, namely LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi+. The AT option will however not get the entry-level LXi trim.
Colour options will include two types of options, metallic (standard single-tone colors) and dual tone. The Metallic options will include Pearl Arctic While, Premium Silver, Granite Grey, Autumn Orange, Torque Blue and Sizzling Red. Dual Tone options include Red with Black, Grey with Orange and Blue with Black. Maruti’s internal assessment suggests that the initial waiting period will be around 6-8 weeks however, this could change depending upon market demand and specific chosen variant.
Talking about the specifications of the 2020 Brezza, it will come powered by a 1.5 litre BS 6 compliant K-Series petrol motor which will be able to dish out 77 kW / 104 PS and 138 Nm of max torque. The petrol motor will be able to return a fuel economy of 17.03 kmpl when combined with a MT and a fuel efficiency of 18.76 kmpl when mated to an AT (along with Smart Hybrid tech).
Maruti had brought in the Brezza back in 2016 and since its launch, it has continued to dominate the sub 4 metre SUV market. The Venue gave some serious competition to the Brezza in the initial months of its launch but later on managed to settle down for a No. 2 position in the segment. Till date, more than 5 lakh Brezza’s have been sold from Maruti’s showrooms and the Brezza happens to be the first vehicle in the segment to achieve this milestone.
