Maruti Brezza sales cross 3 lakh – Monthly sales at 15,000 post AMT launch

Maruti Brezza SUV was launched in India in March 2016. Currently it is at the top of SUV sales charts noting average sales to the extent of 12,300 units per month. In all, the sales have just crossed the 3 lakh units since launch. Making the Brezza to reach the fastest to reach 3 lakh in sales in Indian auto industry.

Most demand was noted for the two top end variants ZDi and ZDi+, accounting for 56% of total sales, while the other two grades LDi and VDi have also reported good sales.

Early this year, Maruti Suzuki reduced number of Brezza variants from six to four. These include the LDi, VDi, ZDi, and ZDi+ priced from INR 7.28 lakhs onwards. The company has also just launched Vitara Brezza with Auto Shift Gear (AGS) technology priced between INR 8.54 lakhs and INR 10.49 lakhs. AMT variant has been an instant hit. Launched in May 2018, it has already received over 23% of overall bookings.

Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza in the sub 4 meter SUV segment is produced at the company’s Gurugram plant and currently only retails in India. It rivals the likes of Ford EcoSport and Mahindra TUV300.

The top ZDi grade sits on 16” alloy wheels, receives piano black interiors with projector headlamps and Bullhorn DRLs. It is seen with steering mounted audio controls, ambient light for speedometer, automatic climate controls and driver adjustable seat.

ZDi+ sports all these features seen on the ZDi besides reverse parking camera, 7” Smartplay infotainment system supported by voice command and navigation, power folding ORVMs and automatic headlamps. It also receives features such as push button start/stop, cruise control and rain sensing wipers. The ZDi and ZDi_ also get a new Passion Orange color options.

Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is powered by a 1.3 liter diesel engine with two transmission options of 5 speed manual transmission and 5 speed AMT. No petrol option is on offer as of now.
