Maruti Suzuki has hiked discounts on BS4 models of Swift, Brezza and Ertiga at Arena showrooms ahead of the BS6 deadline.
Maruti Suzuki Arena dealers, which sells the Alto, Celerio, Eeco, S-Presso, Swift, Dzire, WagonR, Ertiga, Brezza, etc, are offering discounts and exchange benefits through the month of February 2020. The Alto 800 BS6 can be had at a cash discount of Rs.25,000 and an exchange offer of Rs.15,000 while there is also an additional Rs.3,000 corporate discount. The Alto K10 BS4 is completely out of stock and rumor has it that this budget hatchback will not be upgraded to BS6 emission norms.
The BS6 compliant Maruti Suzuki Celerio is on offer at Rs. 25,000 cash discount, Rs.15,000 exchange offer and at Rs.2,000 corporate discount. The Maruti Suzuki Celerio BS6, launched in January 2020 at Rs.4.41 lakhs has seen an upward revision in prices by Rs.15,000-24,000 over its equivalent BS4 counterparts. The company is extending offers of Rs.25,000 cash discount, Rs.15,000 exchange offer and Rs.2,000 corporate discount on the new model.
Maruti Suzuki Eeco petrol BS6 is at Rs.15,000 cash discount and Rs. Rs.2,000 corporate discount on the new model while on the WagonR BS6, cash discount is at Rs.10,000 along with the Rs.20,000 exchange bonus and Rs.2,500 corporate bonus.
Cash discounts, exchange bonuses and special discounts for corporate buyers are also extended on the BS6 compliant S-Presso, Swift and Dzire petrol while the Swift and DZire diesel BS4 variants extend to over Rs.70,000 in terms of benefits depending on stocks at dealer levels.
Maruti Suzuki Brezza BS4 diesel February 2020 offers extend to Rs.35,000 cash discount, Rs.20,000 exchange bonus and Rs.10,000 corporate along with a 5 year warranty. The Brezza BS6 petrol made debut at the 2020 Auto Expo equipped with the 1.5 liter K-series BS6 petrol engine. This new engine will offer 77 kW power at 6,000 rpm and 138 Nm torque at 4,400 rpm.
There is no discount on the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga BS6 petrol but the BS4 diesel comes in with an exchange bonus of Rs.20,000. Earlier last week, the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga BS6 S-CNG is also launched and offered only on the VXI variant priced at Rs.8.95 lakhs, ex-sh. The Ertiga S-CNG is powered by a 1.5 liter, 4 cylinder engine which offers 103 hp in petrol mode and 91 hp in CNG mode with torque at 138 Nm and 122 Nm respectively. The engine is mated to a 5 speed gearbox.
At the 2020 Auto Expo, Maruti Suzuki has confirmed its plan to sell 1 million green cars over the next few years as a part of its Mission Green Million Program. The company said that along with smart hybrids, strong hybrids and electric vehicles, launch CNG vehicles was also on the cards.
