With Maruti sales on a double digit decline, company dealers are offering heavy discounts across all models sold via these showrooms. The discounts and exchange bonuses, which could vary from dealership to dealership, depending on stocks, are an effort to not only boost sales which have been subdued over the past few months, but also to clear out piling stocks.
Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 BS VI variant – Discount upto Rs.20,000 are being offered on the BS VI compliant Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 along with a Rs.20,000 exchange benefit. The Maruti Suzuki Alto recently got an update in April 2019. It is now seen with driver airbag and ABS which is offered as standard while the 0.8 liter petrol engine meets with BS VI emission standards.
Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 – Buyers opting for the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 petrol and CNG manual variants will be able to avail of a cash discount of Rs.20,000 along with an exchange benefit of Rs.20,000. The Alto K10 is powered by the same 1.0 liter petrol engine as seen powering the Celerio. Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 AMT discount through the month of July extends to a cash discount of Rs.30,000 along with an exchange benefit of Rs.20,000.
Maruti Suzuki Celerio – This budget hatchback is being presented at a cash discount of Rs.25,000 along with an exchange bonus of Rs.20,000 for the petrol manual and CNG variant. Maruti Suzuki Celerio AMT discount through July extend to a total of Rs.50,000 which includes a Rs.30,000 cash discount and Rs.20,000 exchange bonus. Both area powered via a 1.0 liter petrol engine with manual transmission.
Maruti Suzuki Eeco – This 5 or 7 seater MUV is being offered at a discount of Rs.5,000 and exchange bonus of Rs.10,000 to buyers of the petrol manual variant while the discount extended on the CNG variant is at Rs.10,000 cash discount and Rs.10,000 exchange bonus.
Maruti Suzuki WagonR – The new WagonR, updated earlier this year, brings with it added style and a new engine lineup. Offered at an exchange bonus of Rs.15,000, the new WagonR now comes in with a more powerful 1.2 liter petrol engine as against the older 1.0 liter petrol engine offering on its earlier counterpart.
Maruti Suzuki Swift and Dzire – Petrol variants of both cars are being presented with discounts and exchange bonus during July 2019. The cash discount stands at Rs.20,000 while exchange bonus is an additional Rs.20,000. Maruti Suzuki DZire is powered by a 1.2 liter petrol engine mated to a manual or AMT automatic transmission. Swift Diesel discount is at Rs.15,000 cash discount along with Rs.20,000 exchange bonus. Dzire diesel discount stands at Rs 25k plus Rs 25k exchange. Both cars get powered by a 1.3 liter diesel engine which like its petrol counterpart gets mated to a manual and AMT automatic transmission.
Maruti Suzuki Brezza – The discount on this utility vehicle, which has been at the top of sales charts in the country, extends to Rs.25,000 cash discount and Rs.15,000 exchange bonus. The Brezza gets a 1.3 liter diesel engine mated to a manual or AMT gearbox. A 1.5 liter petrol engine powered Brezza will launch soon in India. Diesel Brezza will be discontinued.
Though the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is also sold via Arena outlets, there is no cash discount or exchange scheme on this model. All the above models except for the Alto 800 and Brezza are also presented with a corporate discount of Rs.2,500 while corporate discount on the Alto 800 and Brezza extends upto Rs.5,000.
