First clear spyshots of production ready Maruti Suzuki Ciaz sedan, which was shown as a concept at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo have emerged online. Spotted in China, these latest spy shots are credit to AutoHome, who managed to spot the car at a Suzuki dealer’s parking.

spy shots of production ready maruti ciazUnveiled as Ciaz Concept in India, the four door sedan made it’s debut in China as Suzuki Alivio Concept at last month’s Beijing Auto Show. Compared to the Ciaz, Alivio looked more production ready, though it was still a concept. Both, China and India will receive the same car, but probably with a different name. In China, it has been confirmed that it will be powered by a 1.6l petrol engine, while in India, it will get the same engine options as seen on the existing SX4.

Once Ciaz is launched in India, Maruti Suzuki will phase out the existing SX4, which has failed to survive in a market which is ruled by new Honda City and Hyundai Verna. Engine options for Maruti Ciaz include 1.4l petrol and 1.3l diesel. Dimensions of Ciaz Concept stand at 4,545 mm long, 1,730 mm wide and 1,475 mm tall. Its production ready variant will get very similar dimensions.

Before India, Suzuki will launch Alivio in China. India launch will take place later this year, just before the Diwali festive season. Price of Maruti Ciaz is expected to be in the range of Rs 7.2 lakhs to 10.5 lakhs.

Comparing the Suzuki Alivio Concept with the production ready version in the image above, there is not much of a difference to be noted. Except for the following, chrome door handles present on the production ready variant, a little different tail-light, front grille featuring four slits in production ready variant compared to the five in Alivio Concept, and chrome strip is missing on the side of production variant.
