Maruti Ciaz SHVS new price list post reduction in excise duty in Delhi

Maruti Suzuki Ciaz diesel range now starts at INR 7.68 lakh going upto INR 9.59 lakh for the top end variant, while prices of Maruti Ciaz petrol remain unchanged.

Ex-showroom prices of the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz have been reduced by INR 55,000 to INR 69,000 as per variant. Maruti Ciaz VDi which was earlier priced at INR 8.23 lakhs bring now priced at INR 7.68 lakhs while the top end variant Ciaz RS ZDi+ which was earlier priced at INR 10.18 lakhs now sporting a price tag of INR 9.49 lakhs. The new price is only for Delhi.

Maruti Suzuki Ciaz is powered by a 1.3 liter DDiS diesel engine offering peak output of 90PS and peak torque of 200Nm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox sending power to front wheels. The SHVS system sports an integrated starter with auto start-stop system along with brake energy recovery system offering a higher level of fuel efficiency. Fuel efficiency on the Ciaz SHVS stands at 28.09 kmpl thus making them the most fuel efficient car in their segment.

This news could end the dominance of Honda City in the market, which has been the leader in the segment since 2014. Apart from this, one more reason to buy the Ciaz SHVS is that it is exempted from the odd-even rule in Delhi.

Maruti Suzuki India has seen outstanding sales of the Maruti Ciaz SHVS both in domestic as well as in export markets which will contribute towards bringing the company closer towards achieving targets of 2 million annual sales by 2020.
