Maruti Suzuki India Limited, the largest car manufacturer in the country launched the next gen variant of their highest selling car in India, Alto earlier this week. The new Alto 800 is launched in India with a base price tag of Rs 2.44 lakhs, it will be available in both petrol and CNG powered options, three trims for the petrol and three trims for the CNG. Petrol Alto 800 is available at an ex-showroom price ranging between Rs 2.44 lakhs and Rs 2.99 lakhs while the CNG Alto 800 is available at Rs 3.19 lakhs to Rs 3.56 lakhs.
Earlier today, a Maruti Suzuki dealer at Kottakkunnu, a small town in Malappuram, Kerala created a record when his authorized Maruti dealership delivered a total of 200 new Alto 800 car’s earlier today. A special ceremony was held to hand over the 200 Alto 800 cars to their respective owners. The Alto 800 delivered earlier today by this dealer included both petrol and CNG variants.
According to this dealer, all these customers who were delivered the new Alto today, had not even seen even an image of the car when they booked the car earlier this month. They had no information about the new Alto 800, what the price would be, interiors, exterior design, options available, price, etc., still these 200 customers went ahead and booked Maruti Alto 800. The keys to the new Alto were handed over by Hon’able Shri. PK Kunhalikutty, Minister for Industries and Information Technology, (Kerala).
