Maruti DZire is the fastest car to achieve 3 lakh sales in Indian auto industry

Maruti DZire has achieved the fastest 3 lakh sales mark in the Indian automobile history. This is particularly noteworthy as this sale pitch has been achieved in 17 months of launch in May 2017. Selected as a preferred choice among buyers in India, it is the top end variants that have seen most demand with 25% buyers opting for top end variants and 20% buyers opting for the automatic variant.

The third generation Maruti Suzuki DZire achieves average monthly sales of 18,000 units which is 28% higher than the previous generation model. The sedan commands added style, stance and better appointed interiors with advanced safety features, better comforts and the latest in features. The DZire is available in both petrol and diesel formats and also with an automatic transmission.

According to a recent survey, there were certain factors due to which the DZire has found favor among buyers in the country. In fact, around 75% of customers had already decided to buy a DZire even on entry into company showrooms. It boasts of Auto Gear Shift (AGS) technology which is on offer across more variants of the DZire starting from the V variant and going up to the Z and Z+ variants. The DZire comes with the latest in technologies that include SmartPlay infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Maruti Suzuki DZire is powered by a 1.2 liter petrol engine offering 82 bhp power and 113 Nm torque and a 1.3 liter diesel engine offering 74 bhp power and 190 Nm torque. Both engines get mated to automated manual transmission. The two engines are highly fuel efficient, with the petrol model claiming mileage of 22 kmpl while the diesel variant offers 28 kmpl.

Mr. R S Kalsi, Senior Executive Director (M&S) at Maruti Suzuki India said: “We launched the new Dzire with smooth sedan styling, plush and roomy interiors, superior overall comfort and advanced safety features. It has created an excitement among our customers. The sales of new Dzire shot up by 28% compared to the previous generation car.

The new Dzire meets the aspirations of young and indulgence seeking Indian customer. The testimony to it is 25% of customers have opted for the top variants, which are loaded with new features. The hugely popular Auto Gear Shift (AGS) technology is available on more variants of the Dzire, starting from the V trim up to Z and Z+. Nearly 20% of buyers have chosen the automatic variant.
