Engines would be tweaked for improved mileage.

Maruti Ertiga facelift has been spied fully in Indonesia ahead of the model’s world premiere at the upcoming Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto¬†Show 2015 which opens doors of 20th of this month. The refreshed MPV is expected to be introduced in India shortly after the show.

Visual changes come in the form of a wider chrome finished front grille with 3D slats, a sleeker secondary air dam which is connected to the sporty foglamp enclosures. In the top end variant, the foglamp enclosures are decorated with chrome inserts.

Changes to the profile are limited to the new multispoke alloy wheels in higher variants. The rear fascia reflector elements that act as taillight extensions, and a chrome strip above the license plate enclosure carrying embossed “ERTIGA” badge. Now, the tailgate carries only the variant badge. The reprofiled rear bumper misses out on the central foglamp.

Interior gets dual-tone dashboard with the top half sporting black theme but it remains to be seen if the new color makes it to India-spec model. In terms of features, top-end variant of the 7-seater gains automatic climate control.

The “ERTIGA” badge is now embossed on the new chrome strip.

The existing powertrain lineup comprising 91 bhp 1.4-litre K-Series petrol and 88 bhp 1.3-litre DDiS diesel engine would be tweaked to extract better mileage.

We expect Maruti to price Ertiga facelift slightly higher than the outgoing model owning to the added features. Current model retails between INR 6.61 – 8.72 lakhs (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
