Maruti Fronx is a crossover SUV that was also showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo along with the Jimny. It is a sub-4 meter offering positioned between the Baleno and Grand Vitara in Maruti’s NEXA lineup. It has now been officially launched. Maruti Fronx prices start from Rs 7.46 lakh ex-sh and go all the way to Rs 13.13 lakh, ex-sh. These are introductory prices.
Maruti Fronx new car model boasts of an advanced 1.2L K-Series Dual Jet, Dual VVT engine and an all-new 1.0L K-Series Turbo Boosterjet Direct Injection engine with Progressive Smart Hybrid. The crossover car is available in four different variants with multiple trims that cater to different budget and feature requirements. The entry-level Sigma 5MT is priced at Rs 7,46,500 and is perfect for those who are looking for an affordable yet powerful car. Delta 5MT and Delta AGS are priced at Rs 8,32,500 and Rs 8,87,500 respectively, and offer more features than the Sigma variant.
Maruti Suzuki Fronx Crossover – Variants, Prices
Moving up the range, we have the 1.2L K-Series Delta+ 5MT and Delta+ AGS variants, which are priced at Rs 8,72,500 and Rs 9,27,500 respectively. These variants are a step up from the Delta variants and an attractive option for those who want a feature-packed car without breaking the bank.
The 1.0L Turbo Delta+ 5MT is available at a price of Rs 9,72,500. Zeta 5MT, Zeta 6AT, and Alpha 5MT variants are priced at Rs 10,55,500, Rs 11,47,500, and Rs 12,05,500 respectively. These variants offer even more features and a higher level of luxury and comfort. The Alpha 6AT and Alpha Dual Tone MT and AT variants are priced at Rs 12,97,500, Rs 11,63,500, and Rs 13,13,500, respectively, and are the top-of-the-line models.

To be offered in 5 variants of Sigma, Delta, Delta+, Zeta and Alpha, Maruti has priced Fronx from Rs 7.46 lakh. In comparison, the base Baleno is priced from Rs 6.61 lakh. This makes Fronx about Rs 85k more expensive than Baleno.
Maruti Fronx Features List
Fronx feature list will differ according to trim level. However, overall the new Fronx packs a comprehensive package of features that include a new front grille with chrome accents, LED multi-reflector headlamps with LED DRLs, squared off wheel arches, precision cut 16 inch alloy wheels and faux skid plates at the front and rear. It also gets chrome accents on its window line, shark fin antenna and spoiler. Keyless entry, reverse parking sensors and rear defogger are also among its features. Dimensions stand at 3,995mm long, 1,765mm wide, 1,550mm tall with a 2,520mm long wheelbase and a 308 liter boot.
The interiors are in a dual tone colour scheme. On board driver and passenger features and technology will be based on those seen on the Baleno with some additions. Seating is in a 60:40 split while steering wheel comes in with tilt adjustment. However, the new Fronx does miss out on a sunroof, digital driver’s display and ventilated front seats, features that are present in some of its rivals. Where safety equipment is concerned, Maruti Suzuki Fronx quite a package. It includes a total of 6 airbags, stability control, ISOFIX child seat mounts, ESP with hill hold assist and roll over mitigation, brake assist and ABS and EBD.
Engine, Transmission and Braking
Maruti Suzuki Fronx Crossover will draw power via a 1.0 liter turbocharged petrol unit making 98.6 hp power and 147.6 Nm torque. It will also be offered with a 1.2 liter naturally aspirated petrol engine offering 88.5 hp power and 113 Nm torque. Transmission options include 5 speed MT, 6 speed AT and 5 speed AMT. Fronx CNG variant launch is expected at a later date.
