Month of August 2015 saw two of the largest car manufacturers in India register positive growth in sales, thereby giving the auto industry a much needed boost. Maruti Suzuki sold 1,17,864 cars while Hyundai sold 54,608 cars, thereby registering a growth of 6.4% and 13.5% respectively.
For Hyundai, August 2015 has been a special month. The South Korean brand has registered their highest ever monthly sales ever since they set shop here in India. This has been possible due to the launch of their new cars like Elite i20, i20 Active and Creta.
Hyundai did not reveal exact sales figures of each of their cars, but they did say that domestic sales had increased by 20% as compared to August 2014. This increase in demand from domestic market has resulted in Hyundai registering a decline in exports for August 2015.
