Maruti Suzuki has launched special protective gear to help keep its customers safe during the coronavirus pandemic
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a major impact on all aspects of industries, including the automotive sector. This sector had been going through a rough patch over several quarters even prior to the pandemic hitting the country and the subsequent lockdown made things even worse. The Indian auto sector is trying to emerge from the setback of the coronavirus pandemic and slowdown and introducing several schemes and benefits to try to attract buyers back into showrooms.
With the lockdown being lifted and Unlock 1.0 coming into effect in India, Maruti Suzuki India Limited opened up its manufacturing processes and dealerships. The company has ensured that the strictest safety and hygiene measures are being followed at all premises to keep its employees safe.
Now, Maruti Suzuki has also introduced a range of ‘Health and Hygiene’ genuine accessories and car and personal care products amidst these trying times. These accessories include a PPE range of 3 ply-face mask, protective goggles, shoe covers, hand gloves and face shield visor. The face mask is certified by QCS and Sitra Labs while Maruti Suzuki Genuine Accessories car care items include interior car cleaners and car cabin protective partition.
The cabin partition comprises of a clear sheet of virgin grade premium Poly Vinyl Chloride material, dividing the front and rear passengers so as to allow for social distancing while travelling. It is fixed with Velcro and covers from roof to floor while at the same time offering full visibility.
This protective sheet takes care of any transfer of droplets within the car which happens in the event of any of the occupants talking, sneezing or coughing. This is just a precaution to contain the spread of the virus as much as possible and is not a fool proof method to arrest its spread completely.
The partition is easy to install, lightweight and durable and offered on cars such as the Ertiga, XL6, Ciaz, S-Cross, Old WagonR, Ritz, Dzire Tour, Celerio and Alto and cost ranges from Rs. 549 to Rs. 649, depending on the model. The face visor is priced at Rs.55 while the disposable eye gear is at Rs.100. Hand gloves and shoe covers are at Rs.20 and Rs.21 while the three ply face mask is for Rs.10 and the N95 face mask is at Rs.149.
Maruti Suzuki is offering this range of accessories to buyers who can avail of these via their nearest dealership or online via the company website https://www.marutisuzuki.com/more-from-us/maruti-suzuki-genuineaccessories
