Maruti Suzuki India Limited have ensured that their Manesar and Gurgaon plants are prospering. Likewise, the company has claimed that their plant in Rohtak will also be equally profitable as the Chief Minister of Haryana, Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda laid the foundation stone for six major industrial units including the R&D Centre of Maruti Suzuki India Limited at Rohtak.
MSIL will be investing Rs.1000 crores in this venture for designing and developing facilities for vehicles besides another Rs.4,700 crores for the setting up of two industrial products in Rohtak, Haryana.
This will go a long way in bringing about employment opportunities for over 40,000 workers in the coming years. One more unit will be set up manufacture of two wheelers by Suzuki Motorcycles India. This will be built at an investment of Rs.1800 crores and will have the capacity to manufacture 20 lakh units per annum and will start out at 5 lakh units in the coming two years.
