Maruti NEXA app gets Suzuki Connect – New features for Ciaz, Baleno, S Cross, Ignis owners

A new smartphone application has been launched by Maruti Suzuki India Limited. This new mobile phone app is available on both iOS and Android phones. Users will have to subscribe to avail of all the services being offered through this app.

Maruti Suzuki Connect information platform will be brought in with a host of technology based functions. Called ‘Suzuki Connect’, this new online platform will enhance services to customers and will offer users details such as locating the nearest Maruti Suzuki dealership, booking of service dates, service reminders, knowledge about the car and performance of in-car checks.

In emergency situations, the new ‘Suzuki Connect’ app will also offer users helpline and customer care service while other functions will include car maintenance checks in terms of battery condition, detection of problems in real time and locating in a car in a congested parking lot. Live traffic updates, offline maps, service appointments and live service status will also be among the features offered on this new app along with the most important 24×7 road side assistance service.

Mr. R S Kalsi, Senior Executive Director, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki said, “Suzuki Connect is an advanced telematics solution developed and tested in India to offer seamless connected car experience to car owners. A nationwide extensive study was conducted to understand the challenges that Indian car owners face daily and their expectations from these solutions. ‘Suzuki Connect’ empowers customers to manage host of services such as emergency alerts, vehicle tracking, driving behaviour analysis, car assistance, and many more functions on their fingertips and create a delightful car ownership experience. Unlike other OBD based telematics solutions available in market, ‘Suzuki Connect’ is a TCU based solution which is better, safer and more user friendly.”

Suzuki Connect will be available for iOS and Android users who will have to subscribe to it to take advantage of all these services being offered under it. Customers can purchase the Maruti Suzuki Connect device from authorized company dealerships. As of now, the app is compatible with Maruti Suzuki NEXA models on sale in India. These are Ciaz, S-Cross, Ignis and Baleno. The app will offer a 360 degree connected platform with assisted navigation via operator services.

UPDATE – Maruti Suzuki India has officially shared communication on the launch of Suzuki Connect. In order to activate the app, you will need to get a device installed in your car from your NEXA dealer. The device costs Rs 9,999 (includes 3 year subscription fee of the app).
