Back in 2015, when Maruti first launched Nexa to change the way customers thought of the brand, not many expected that it will have any effect. But today, in 4 years, Maruti’s Nexa has not only managed to change the brand image of the company, but has also managed to excel in sales.
Maruti Nexa sales in 4 years has almost touched the 10 lakh mark. As of today, the Nexa outlets retail Baleno, Ciaz, S-Cross and the Ignis. It was the S-Cross which was the first in the Nexa family.
This was followed by Baleno, Ignis and then Ciaz. Next addition will be Maruti Ertiga XL6, a more premium 6 seater variant of Ertiga with captain seats on the 2nd row. Launch of Maruti Ertiga XL6 is scheduled to take place next month. Price could be in the Rs 12 lakh range.
Mr. Shashank Srivastava, Executive Director, Marketing and Sales, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said, “We are jubilant about the fourth anniversary of NEXA, and to announce the upcoming release of NEXA Music’s 3rd song. Both these milestones accentuate NEXA’s focus on creation and reinvention.
This has been proven by our commitment towards providing the newest technologies to our customers. We thank all our customers for their support towards NEXA and not only inspiring its creation, but also encouraging its growth and diversification into other fields.”
NEXA has grown by leaps and bounds. The first NEXA Showroom opened in 2015 and it grew to over 250+ outlets in 2 years of launch and to 350+ outlets in 4 years. These outlets are spread over 206 cities and towns across the country and are the fastest growing automobile retail channel with around 1 million customers.
NEXA showrooms attract a younger set of buyers, most of which are under 35 years of age who make up for nearly 50 percent customers while 70 percent customers are first time buyers. NEXA showrooms extend their services beyond just selling cars. It also collaborates with iconic lifestyle companies such as IIFA, Lakme Fashion Week and with big names in the music industry like Oscar-winning music director A R Rahman, etc.
NEXA has also extended its reach to Mobile Terminals in June 2019. The first has come up in Haryana and Punjab and the second in Odisha. These two terminals managed to cover 10 cities in 45 days, with 1000+ total visits.
